Coton de Tulear is one of the oldest breeds of dogs from Madagascar. However, it is estimated that Tueler Cotton Cotton is a hybrid of the Meeting (Tenerife) and the missing local terrier dogs in the Tulear region. In the 15th century, there was a big storm that sank the ship near Madagascar.
Dog that survived (Tenerife) on the ship reached the port of Tulear, then make a cross to produce Conton race Tueler. Cotton is a French word which means cotton. Not a lot of history that records on the origin of this dog.
This is consistent with the main physical characteristics of this race as long and delicate hair than cotton. This colored dog coat is usually white, black, and a mixture of three colors, and a small part born with yellow fur on the ear. This dog can live to the age of 16-19 years. Coton de Tulear has a height of 25-30 cm and a weight of 5.5 to 7 kg.
